Heartfelt congratulations to Duke I3T Lab PhD student Zhehan Qu on his IEEE ISMAR 2024 Best Doctoral Consortium Presentation Honorable Mention, which he received for his presentation titled "Attention-Safe Augmented Reality System with Edge Computing".
Zhehan has been investigating how to secure AR experiences from unwanted manipulation of user attention, aiming to use edge computing to provide real-time ML-based user attention analysis and attention attack mitigation. Thanks to the collaborators and coauthors especially Ryleigh Byrne, Sarah Eom, and Tiffany Ma, for their contributions to this exciting work.
