Sarah Eom Presented Her Research at the FDA Medical XR Program Meeting

Duke I3T Ph.D. candidate Sarah Eom delivered an online presentation on her research titled “Evaluation of Marker-Based Medical Image Registration Using Augmented Reality Head-Mounted Display” during the Medical XR Program meeting at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Division of Imaging, Diagnostics, and Software Reliability (CDRH/OSEL/DIDSR). Conducted during her six-month internship at the FDA, the work focused on developing an evaluation framework for medical XR devices used in surgical applications, contributing to the FDA’s regulatory standards.
